Editor review
Pendulum Tap is a timing-arcade where you tap as a pendulum passes target zones. Thirty-six levels with pendulum-speed and target-width variation. The format is timing-tap done right.
What works is the pendulum physics. The pendulum swings with appropriate easing at the apexes. Players can predict the passage timing based on swing arc, which gives skill ceiling.
Thirty-six levels with progressive difficulty. Late levels have pendulum speeds where target zones pass in under half a second.
Tested over four Cardiff-Newport commute sessions. Touch tap is the natural input. Mouse-click works on desktop.
Where the design earns its rating is the multi-pendulum levels in the final tier. Two pendulums swinging on different periods; players must time taps for both simultaneously. The skill demand jumps significantly.
Where I would push back is the absence of a track-creator mode. Fixed thirty-six levels limits long-term replay.
Three-and-a-half stars. Solid pendulum-timing arcade with thoughtful late-tier escalation.
